Wax Poetics/Homeward Bound

The new issue of Wax Poetics is out. I haven't seen it yet, but you always know it will be great. I was lucky enough to have an illustration in there too, on the article about
Tyrone Thomas and the Whole Darn Family. I wish I could have spent more time on it, but it was fun job all the same.
Great to see an illustrated cover again!

My wife and I are heading back to Australia for Christmas and New Years and to introduce our son to my folks and our friend's back home. It's been two years since I've been back and it'll be the first time for my boy. He's still only a little guy, so we're not looking forward to the flight so much. I'll be sure to apologise to the surrounding passengers well in advance. Hope he enjoys Australia. It'll be nice to escape the winter for a while. We'll be back in Japan mid-January. More soon come.

O. Henry

I've been reading the original rolling stone, O. Henry's stories on the train lately.
Such a great writer, every other line is a classic.
"A cab driver bumped him with a hub and explained that kind words were invented to be used on other occasions."

3 Things

Three things you can learn from a young child.

1. Always be happy.
2. Never be idle.
3. Always cry for what you want.

Congrats to Dave and family on the new addition!

Small Victories/Wax Poetics Anthology

There's still a lot of good left in the world, I don't care what people say. For me, Small Victories is about the little things in life that make a difference. The raisins in the toast.
E.g. I received a copy of Wax Poetics Anthology in the mail a little while ago, it definitely made my day. The book looks great, I'm really proud to have had work in there. Can't wait to see their covers book coming out soon.
